A Feast for the Eyes

This is just about the most stunning boutique I can imagine. First off, its a jewelry store (one of the most famous in the world) in India. So given that they sell shiny baubles, it’s already a winner in my book. Putting that aside, take in the beauty of the interior design by Marie-Anne Oudejans. It is truly a gift to be in this space. I say that as if I’ve ever physically walked through the doors of Gem Palace. Sadly, I have not. But all of the pictures I’ve seen online (mostly in Architectural Digest) leave me feeling incredibly inspired and happy (which is basically the theme of La Maison Verte). I feel like I’ve opened a beautiful birthday present when I look at these pictures.

The powder blue walls with the citron yellow fabrics (with touches of green) make this private salon feel incredibly welcoming. It’s bright and happy, which allows one to feel comfortable and not intimidated when trying on some of the most exquisite jewels in the world.
Emerald green jewelry display cases. Have you ever seen anything quite so chic?!
I absolutely LOVE this wall and ceiling! I am a blue and white girl, so it’s no surprise that I can’t get enough of this space, but the details are what makes it so special.
The sweet flowers embroidered on the pillows of the lounge are so dainty and elegant.
The perfect setting for these treasures.
