Mediterranean Meets Mughal

A perfect blend of Italian cuisine and Indian design at Bar Palladio. I am currently obsessed with design in India and Dutch designer, Marie-Anne Oudejans, so I wanted to share some images of Bar Palladio in Jaipur. Located in the historic Narian Niwas Palace Hotel, owner Barbara Miolini wanted to create a restaurant that offers classic Italian cuisine within a magical setting in the Pink City. Miolini called on Oudejan, a fashion designer, to help her vision come alive. Oudejan had never designed an interior before, but Miolini knew that her colorful palette would be perfect for this majestic setting.

Caffé Palladio is an indoor and outdoor space. The doors open wide to a breezy terrace. Feels like the perfect spot for an afternoon aperol spritz! The colors are so calming. In some ways, it feels like you could almost be in Palm Beach or Lyford.
Between the mango trees and wandering peacocks outside, sits this cozy spot in the restaurant. The space is sun-filled and layered with various patterns, shapes and fabrics.
Bar Palladio Jaipur Delicatessen sells specially designed homewares and specialty Italian gourmet goods. Their placemats and napkins are beautifully hand-block printed by artisans from Jaipur.
I feel like this is THE power lunch spot in Jaipur. Look at the tented ceiling! There is so much to take in, just in this one room. I love the scalloped edges on the banquets paired with the pillows embroidered with flowers to mimic the hand-painted flowers on the walls.
